All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy... goes the old adage. At JPI we believe in letting young people develop their skills to their fullest. Skills such as dancing, debating, acting etc. Recently JPI has had a number of events simply aimed at entertaining as well as making the learning environment friendly, these include:

  2. Mr. and Miss JPI High School

  3. Valentines Day Primary School

What is the essence

of these events?

Children learn in an environment which is constantly changing, the environment needs to be both entertaining as well as fun.

Many schools of thought have researched and found that an environment which is fun makes learning easier while too much concentration on the books without a break may not necessarily make a successful intellectual, you need to balance!

My child wants to be exposed to cat walk, what is there for her?

Modeling and catwalk are part of what is given during the Mr. and Miss JPI. Your child will undergo a rigorous training programme prior to this event, judges will be at hand to see her participate infront of her peers in the Great Hall.

You can be sure that with the participation certificate as well as a prize if she wins, she will have the imagination of Naomi Campbell!

My Grade 3 boy just loves Kwaito and doing the monkey dance, is there something for him?

Oh yes! the cultural day as well as all these events have one thing in common, the learners bring out their best and perform at a professional level with professional judges in front to make sure that your grade 3 boy showcases all the latest moves.

My girl just loves reciting the bible/Koran, is it allowed?

absolutely! you can come up with a recitation, poem, Christian dance or even a Koranic verse so long as it brings forth understanding, does not amount to hate speech and it is work of art.  Let your child exercise his/her talent to the fullest.

Does my child have to attend these events?

We always advise that your child participates in co-curricular activities. Be it sports or events. However we do not force learners to participate, we only encourage them to be creative and to be the best they can be! and we hope you as a parent or guardian want the best for your child.

Cat Walk is not meant for Naomi alone
I have a dream!
