PRIMARY SCHOOL

Johannesburg Polytech Institute Currently runs a two stream system. At the bottom is the Primary School currently starting from Grade 1 to Grade 7. We at JPI notes that early stage of learning culture must be developed by the students.

In order to do this both traditional methods proven overtime plus Outcomes Based Education (OBE) are applied. Our teachers offer individual attention to learners coupled with after hours personal tutorage to ensure that all that has been taught not only enhances the knowledge of the learner, but can also be practically applied in everyday life. After all we believe that education should be seen in the light of what one can do with it and not necessarily how many certificates one has!

At the moment the following subjects are undertaken at the Primary School:

  • Language Literacy I

  • Language Literacy II

  • Human & Social Science

  • Economic Management Sciences

  • Biblical Studies

  • Mathematics S

  • Computer Literacy

Apart from these, every student is expected to be part of at least one extra-curricular activity.

These includes:

  • Debating club,

  • Wildlife club,

  • Sports.

We believe that all studies and no play makes them dull students!
